After viewing the gameplay video, it looks like there's no change in the loot pickup.Eric wrote:I just hope they handle loot better this time around, having to learn to click the ground as fast as hell was 90% of the game.
Blizzard have never really been an innovative studio. Their talent has always been in polishing. If they just keep iterating on their existing brands I won't be unhappy.bovine wrote:no new IPs? Blizzard is getting a little too "old hat" for my tastes.
They've done enough innovating for a while... you make it sound like they stick to the same thing all the time. How quickly we forget that when it came out, World of Warcraft was a total departure from what Blizzard had released in the past. This isn't Dynasty Warrior 7 or The Sims 2.4.2.1.6, it's Diablo III. I'm sure there will be plenty new and interesting in the game and it won't be a prettier Diablo II. The gameplay trailer alone proves that.bovine wrote:no new IPs? 1. Diablo is, er, online?!SineSwiper wrote:At least MMOs are, well, online, and have better strategies than "Attack this", "attack that"..
Has this been confirmed by Blizzard?Eric wrote:SC2 and Diablo 3 will be free to play on BNET.
It is a pretty safe assumption, but I'd still like to see it confirmed by Blizzard before making it.SineSwiper wrote:Well, DUH! It's not an MMO, therefore it will be free to play. It's ALWAYS been free to play.
Regardless of how popular WoW has become, even Blizzard knows full well if they tried to charge for online MP for SC2 or D3 there'd be riots in the streets and charred ash where their office building once stood the next morning.Andrew, Killer Bee wrote:It is a pretty safe assumption, but I'd still like to see it confirmed by Blizzard before making it.SineSwiper wrote:Well, DUH! Agreed. Its simple, quick, and somehow extremely addictive to get the next best gear, max out an ability, or see what will drop from the next boss/mini boss. This formula should have led me to play MMO's, but they are just too damn slow for my liking, and i dont need a whole virtual world to be entertained. MMO's, to me, are just too much, too big, and too expensive. I used to be able to crank out a decent D2 character in a day... then have them die on accident and the process starts all over. I hope they keep Hardcore mode, i WOULD probably get bored otherwise.RentCavalier wrote:Its simple fun. Click, kill. Its easy to pick up and just play. Sometimes, you don't NEED much more than that, especially if your enemies explode into piles of gore and bones.
