  • Diablo II night

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

This was Shellie's idea but she's lazy and didn't put this in its own thread.

Is anyone interested in dusting of ol' Diablo II (and expansion) and giving this 8 year old game another go? Most nights this week work I think, although Thursday night might be best with most of us having off Friday. I believe 6 of us can play, and we can all jump on a Ventrilo server or something to do mic chat.

Anyone?

I'm on USWest, account name is Phantron (I think you whisper to the account not the character). I play like after 9pm PST but not very much on weekdays.

That's it, just Don? Nobody else is interested in a Shrine Diablo II night? Not even Shellie, whose suggestion this was? ;)

I tried playing D2 again about 4 months ago.

I really hated the broken click as fast as you can loot system.

The lack of being able to respec if I made a single mistake in my trees.

No real progression but hoping the boss drops a random drop that doesn't suck

Or the repetitive Baal runs.

It got to me pretty quick.

Due to the game's nonexistent difficulty it's often just as fast to start a new character with the spec you want. You need a lot of character for storage anyway. As far as the fast clicking goes, you can just avoid playing with strangers. It's no different than a pickup group in WoW or any other game and having someone rolled on something that you needed but he did not, and then losing.
