Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • Figured a bunch of you guys would appreciate this :)

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Haha ahhh Yahtzee... one of the few people who I can still find hilarious even when I disagree with him. But for the record, I don't disagree with him in this case :P

I've read CAD for quite some time now... and yeah, I wasn't "disturbed" by the miscarriage arc, but I did find it totally unnecessary and waiting for it to end. And yeah, I know a lot of people think Buckley's a giant douche, and he probably is, but I still enjoy his webcomic most of the time. He's no Sam Logan though ;)

On a side note-- wtf was with the almost 2 minute commercial at the end of that clip?

The commercials at the end are advertisements for other Escapist shows.

They're mostly crap. Unforgotten Realms is the best non-Yahtzee offering, and DeRez and Kung Fu...something or other, forget its name, they can be funny too--the Kung Fu one actually moreso than DeRez, which suffers due to LITERALLY being filmed in some guy's house and backyard. Yahtzee is the real winner of the bunch.

Drawn by Pain is some trippy experimental shit storm that may have vampires in it, and seems to try to mix hand-drawn cartoons with life-action acting, which is terrible because the special effects looks wonky and the "acting" is really, really, really bad. Video Game Theater is made by some Jimmy Kimmel Show alums and seems to have high production values, but it just isn't...funny. In fact, sometimes its a little sad. Donkey Kong gets really abused in one episode.

Unforgotten Realms is actually REALLY fucking good. It was some poorly drawn cartoon on youtube for awhile, and now with better art and music its got all the production value it needs to be blisteringly funny, especially if you've ever liked DnD. I sometimes get a bit of a South Park vibe from it, more specifically that South Park episode where they all get weapons and pretend to be ninjas and accidently get a shruiken stuck in Butters' eye. Its very funny though, check it out if you care.

Yes. It was a sprite-based comic, I believe.

It had all sorts, it was like Brawl in a comic.

Speaking of which, what happened to M'kn'zy? And Manshoon for that matter. They used to play star/warcraft with me all the time.
