The old TNT2 was so faithful for 3 years now. In spite the fact the rest of my computer was extremely faster the vid card tried its best to keep up and allowed me to still play games like CS, D2, and WC3. With my recent purchase of FFXI, though, the TNT2 couldnt handle it.
The pro series of Radeons are on sale because of the recent release of XT versions. The difference is minimal so i'll save the $80 and go for the pro. The non-pro's will be even cheaper but the gap between pro and non-pro is rather large (unlike the pro vs XT gap).
I reccomend picking one up if you were like me and waited FOREVER to upgrade your vid card. The 9600 will easily be able to play HL2 and Doom 3 when they come out.
On a side note, FFXI took like 3 hours to unstall and update... sucked!</div>
