The same with Castle Crashers, maybe. Though, I still probably won't buy the game.
Sounds like it to a degree. The CC demo lets you go through 2 1/2 levels (it stops you half way through the first boss battle) so you miss a lot. The biggest thing I think you miss is the whole aspect of being able to apply points as you level to stats and building a semi-unique character. I think technically it's in the demo, but you don't apply points until you go back to the map so unless you do so manually (because it waits until after boss battles to kick you back to the map automatically) you wouldn't know it was there. Then there's also the whole aspect of pets and weapons both of which stay with you across all characters once you get them once.

I haven't allocated a single point to magic power yet. Seems pretty unnecessary.

I've started doing the opposite. Once you learn that you can hit B instead of Y to throw a projectile it changes the whole ballgame. Helps even more when soloing

I was planning on maining magic with my next character, it's just that I haven't had much trouble at all without it so far.

the red knight's magic, when at a high level, is AMAZING.

I've found that the blue knight's magic is perfect at times for soloing. Too many baddies on the field? Just freeze half of them, kick 1-2 guys' asses, rinse and repeat. It was effective until the dudes in the floating castle who are immune to magic :(

Orange knight's magic is "ok", but really doesn't immobilize enemies like some of the other characters (think my orange knight is lvl 78 now).

I'm liking the ninja, but I've kind of put the game down for a while now.

I finally caved and bought it. Such a great game. So fun. So very, very fun. If anyone is still playing it, I'll be on many nights now. haha

Oracle where did you do the majority of your leveling?

Doing my second run now with the Red Dragon Knight (?). Decided to focus on magic and I was destroying grunts and bosses insanely quick. However, once you hit the lava level fire magic becomes USELESS! I tried to get through the level with five damn potions and still didn't finish it. Also, finding a game on Live was impossible. Is it always like that?
