they're 2 different bosses (which is mentioned in the article).

what's not mentioned were the details of the last patch
1) both bosses will despawn automatically after 2 hours if not killed.
2) the HP of the bosses was lowered in accordance to the first change.

it's not easy but it's not easy for all the wrong reasons.

the super hard to get item can be obtained by a group of three level 60 players (level cap is 75), the fight itself takes under 10 minutes. the drop rate is just horrendous (many people report to be well over 0/200).

if you have loads of money you can buy it from people luckier than you. so the ultimate plan is to RMT.

that's correct, it's a combination of 2 abilities
1) Souleater (5 minute recast, 60 second duration) - deal additional damage based on a % of current HP (which makes the damage of the weapon irrelevant), lowers HP of the user by the amount of damage dealt
2) Blood Weapon (2 hour recast, 30 second duration) - absorb HP equal to amount of damage dealt

when used together they negate each other and the character can deal insane damage for 30 seconds.

this strategy was tried before but it didn't work. if you use this plan, you don't have much more than 30 seconds to finish the fight. it only works now because they lowered the Max HP in the patch.

I think people mistook the '1 minute' thing to mean like if you're half as good it'd just take 2 minutes. It's more like if it didn't die in the 1 minute then it was not dying at all.

- Adjusted the damage resistance of "Absolute Virtue."
strategy no longer works, it now builds resistance to Souleater. the same exact setup prepatch can get it down to around 75% HP postpatch.
