Over the weekend, I ended up ordering an 80GB PS3 (the non-backwards compatible version since I have an almost untouched slim PS2).
I couldn't resist the deal. You got $150 off if you opened a Sony Visa card and though I almost never open new cards to get deals, this was too sweet. Then I had $80 of DiscoverCard cashback bonus that converted into $100 towards Sony online. The end result - I paid $150 + tax for a PS3.
I knew I'd get one eventually, and at $150 + tax, I figured I might as well now. So once I get my HDTV, I can say hello to Blu-ray and now I can play some stuff I've missed like MGS4 and Drake's.
As soon as I get it, I'll post my PSN name.
