As far as I can tell it's trying to match the gunshots to the background music played which leads to some pretty hilarious effects. There are no subtitles, but if you seen it before, you know what's going on.

Edit: Found a version with subtitles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9IMMAGk ... re=related but I think it's easier to watch the version without the subtitles since it's more about how the action matched the music as opposed to what they're actually saying.

I rarely keep up to date of anything going on in the Anime-related world.

There's a version with FF5's Gilgamesh theme out there, but I don't think a pure battle music has the same effect because you got to slow down some of the time.
