I was interested in trying out Netflix with Xbox Live to get a taste of what it's like. I have a feeling I'd probably find it worth the $8/month. But apparently because I was a customer 8 YEARS AGO, I can't get another free trial even when I called and talked to a person. I call that crappy customer service.

I may break down in a couple of days and do the $8 for a month, but right now I'm so irritated that I don't even want to give them that much.

Edit: Well, I got around it finally by using my wife's credit card and her name and a new email. Seems pretty cool. I really need to see what's available instantly though.

haha wow, interesting they keep track of all that. I've been a paying customer of Netflix for almost 7 years now.

Instant Watching needs work on its library, but they're slowly getting better. They'd be retarded to waste this opportunity that XBL gave them simply because they don't have enough on IW. That's my only real complaint: not enough movies.

Netflix is only $8 a month!? That's the price of a movie rental at BB, and three dollars less than a game rental. Bring that shit up north.

Technically it's $8.99/month, and that's for 1 DVD. I currently do $13.99 for 2, but I've gone as high as 4 in years past. Netflix isn't available in Canada? That's quite the missed opportunity.

$8/month gets you a physical movie at a time and unlimited instant watching, which really isn't a bad deal.

I've got the Office Season 4 on my Instant Queue and it's in HD. Man, does that look nice.

So how does it work on XBL then? Can you just watch anything from their catalogue at any time?

edit: n/m just saw "unlimited instant watching".

Lucky twats.

It's a subset of their existing catalog. It has a lot of good stuff, but it is also missing a lot of good stuff, of course. They say they have around 12,000 movies available for instant watching.

If im bored and inbetween shipments, i can usually find something on watch it now. Like Lox said, it wont have the new stuff and if you think of a movie and expect it be on there, goodluck, but while browsing the library something will pop up that you can watch.
