Prince of Persia, Dead Space, and Farcry 2. They are each masterpieces. I have been encountering some cases of PoP and Farcry 2 locking up. I hope it's just those games, and not my beloved 360 dying AGAIN.

Once I get my Gamefly Subscription, those are the first ones I'm getting.

Though you should tell me if Prince of Persia is worth buying. That looks like a pretty lengthy game.

There have been a shit ton of releases this quarter. I haven't gotten to L4D yet, mainly because nobody has it for the 360 (minus Zeus), a borrowed copy of Force Unleashed sits untouched on my PS3 for weeks now, and I'm only in Act 2 of the Gears campaign.

I'm starting my final Fallout game now. This will be the first game I get 1000 achievement points in.

LBP begs me to play it. I fucked around with it for an hour yesterday but I really want somebody else to play it with.

Haven't rented Mirror's Edge yet, but I'd like to.

Castle Crashers update is go. Would like to play that again without the fear of disconnections.

SSF2HDR, Wipeout HD, MM9, and Suikoden all sit unfinished on my hard drives.

There are a ton of No Doubt songs I want to d/l for Rock Band but it's been hard to muster a drew to play it lately.

I would love to play/watch MGS4 again.

Dead Space is the only of the three you mentioned that I really want to play. Far Cry, maybe, if I see it cheap some day.

Farcry, I think, is the big surprise this year, just like Uncharted last year. It really blew away my expectations once the tutorial was over and I really got into a groove of finding missions and just doing cool shit. Not to discount Dead Space. It's fucking amazing. However, I think that Farcry is going to do significantly less in sales than Dead Space, so I just wanted to let you guys know that in terms of rare gems (mwahahaha, or rough diamonds if you want to use specific Far Cry 2 terminology), Far Cry 2 is an amazing experience that will probably go severely overlooked. PoP is good too. It really rethinks the death sequence in games (since you can't die) and looks and plays very uniquely. You find someone to play LBP with? How about me???

Fucking Ubisoft! They've got the most inspired artists in the biz working for the most stubbornly stupid game designers. PoP is beautiful, but so fucking dull to actually play!

I'll give Far Cry 2 another shot some time soon. It didn't grab me the first time I played it.

Dead Space is genuinely, surprisingly amazing. It's about as finely crafted an experience as a Western studio has ever produced, I think.

It's not the game designers at Ubisoft, it's the management. They actually FORCE them to put stuff into a game using a scorecard. That's why you get all these fetch or side quests in games from them that you have to do, they're trying to fit it within this formula they force all their games into. I'll explain it in full some day. Just don't blame the designers, it's often not their fault.

Lotus - get off your ass and beat MM9 you pansy, it ain't THAT hard :-). My friends and I actually just beat MM1, MM2, and MM3 yesterday (took about 4 hours or so) and I can confirm that MM3 is actually a harder game. We played them on the NES so we used the "hold right on controller 2" trick to get through it quickly. If you're up for Left 4 Dead, let me know. I love playing that game online. I'm STILL waiting for someone to play co-op Gears 2 with. I still have that game were you and I left it on Hardcore. Haven't even escorted Dizzy all the way to Landdown yet....

I don't understand why they don't make games like Left 4 Dead or anything else cross-platform for multiplayer. Hell, I'm buying a goddamn 360 wireless adapter so that I can play the PC version of L4D using a 360 controller. At that point, what the hell is the difference?

LOL this coming from the guy who claimed that FPS's would never be as good on consoles because you needed a keyboard/mouse?

Technological capabilities are one reason (TF2 can't hold as many people on Xbox as on PC) as well as integrity (PC games are more likely to have exploits than Xbox) and, well, mostly because you're not on the same level. PC gamers can be quicker and more accurate, so it's not fair to them on the same playing field. Most of the time FPS's are retooled a bit for consoles to allow for this as well as some aim assist.

That being said, it looks like they're slowly merging them anyway. If you play Fallout 3 on the PC you'll see what I mean; it ties right into your XBL account and the achievements you unlock count on your Live account which si real sweet. So really it might only be a matter of time.

Funny you should mention that 'cause I've made quite a bit of progress. Into the second Wily stage now. It has gotten a lot easier the more I play of it, so I was definitely rusty... probably been more than a year since I broke out the MM Anniversary Collection.

The Wily stages aren't as hard as the regular stages, actually. Well, other than a couple of annoying parts. Behind MM3 it probably has some of the hardest levels to get through. The bosses aren't a complete cakewalk but you can deal with it once you get the rock-paper-scissors thing figured out with the weapons. You can't just WASTE them with the right weapon like you can in the first 3 MM games (it wasn't until MM4 and the X games 'til the "right" wespon didn't completely pound the bosses). So the teleportation room won't be TOO tough.....until you get to Wily.

I think only the Wily from MM5 gave me as much trouble as this one. All three modes are tough. I can only get by the second mode without getting hit and that requires some good timing. The first mode is VERY irritating. Not incredibly hard but it's difficult to hurt him so it lasts a while and that's why you end up losing a lot of life. The third mode will piss you off until you figure out right weapon. And even then he's fucking irritating 'cause of how hard it is to dodge his shot without a slide. I was able to get through the entire game without using an E or M tank but I had no choice on Wily's third form. And make sure you pick up the M tank on the way to the teleportation room when you're floating, you'll need it.

I may wanna try to do get the "beat it in an hour and a half" achievement (I have the Wii version so it won't be in my gamerscore). I had 6:14 or so my first time through and I think it's very doable if you get those good level runs and don't fuck around.

And I just started Act 3 on co-op Gears 2 with my cuz. That was a neat ending to Act 2

Well the 360 version is still $59.99 hehe.

And I called my local store and it was going for $59.99 there, so I guess it's online only.

I think in Canada you had the ability to trade in a game and get it for $40. So you basically were upping your trade value from $8 to $20
