  • Free DLC for L4D! ...on 360?

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

well, if you look at TF2 as the precedent, then the fact you are getting this DLC at all is extraordinary.

You beat me to it!

That's fucking awesome! No need to sell my current L4D and try to get the re-release later....until MUCH later when it's the same price and I can just swap

fuck that 360 shit. PC version on sale, down to $25 on steam. Insert that amount of information into your smoking receptacle, light it, and then inhale the emitted fumes Zeus and Blotus!

Sorry, but I've troubleshot the game quite a bit with new video drivers, the latest patch from the official site, and every other piece of advice I've read on various sites. I get the same problem: the game will freeze after about 15 minutes of gameplay. Audio will loop whatever is in its buffer, and the video/controls will freeze.

So, I just want a refund. I'll buy the 360 version, instead, and hope that it does suffer from these stupid freezes. (Do they bother to beta test this stuff?)

First of all, is it really necessary to take a week to give me that response? If your ticketing system knows that I'm putting in Fallout 3 for the game and all of your technical support For Fallout 3 is outsourced to the game manufacturer, why the hell doesn't your system doesn't just SAY THAT as soon as I select the Category and Game? Everybody who has a problem with this game shouldn't have to wait a week just to get a "We can't help you" response.

Secondly, do you bother to read even the subject line before giving me a boilerplate response? Let me be blunt:

I want a refund!

You guys don't have a Billing - Refund section, so I thought I would just put it in the section that told you why I wanted the refund. Obviously, that didn't work, since it seems like you are mass replying to every ticket in this section.

I've already bought the 360 version of Fallout 3 and I'm enjoying it there. However, the Fallout 3 version for the PC blows. It doesn't work. It crashes every five minutes, and many other people have the same problem. I have bought a faulty product from you guys, and despite the enjoyment of the game on the 360, I'm disappointed in Bethesda for selling such a bug-ridden PoS. Therefore, I would like a refund for this game.

Having found a FAQ entry for Billing issues, I see that I need to give you a "proof of purchase", so here is my information:

Credit card type MasterCard
Card number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Confirmation Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Date Confirmed Sat Dec 27 11:53:19 2008

See Ticket # 3002-CWBM-2348. Adding a ticket here, just in case the previous ticket gets a mass reply response.

Hello Brendan,

As with most software products, we will not offer refunds for purchases made online as outlined in the software license - please review Section 4 of the Steam Subscriber Agreement for more information.

Steam Subscriber Agreement
http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?a ... _agreement

We will make an exception for pre-ordered games if the request is received prior to the release date.

You will need to contact Bethesda support at this time to resolve the freeze you have described.

Wow, if I were the Steam rep you were talking to I would have told you to go pound sand too. Don't know how to properly talk to customer/technical support do we? You should have been bitching to Bethusda like they said... the vendor isn't responsible for refunding a product that you don't like when it's not a faulty item. You can't return a camera for having a shitty UI, for example, but you could if the screen was cracked. You go bitch to the manufacturer for that shit.

Fallout's been an exception and caused issues, but most other games that go between PC and Xbox turn out better on the PC. At least in terms of Valve games that's a definite. TF2 is way better on PC and so is L4D.
