Uhhh, difference is Kobe has been with the Lakers his entire career, won 3x championship rings and has enjoyed much success, and aside from that squabble with Shaq(Which is fucking retarded, lol at rap disses) actually gets along with his teammates/coaches.
You know, I haven't followed the Lakers in years - since that championship run - and it's because, just like the Dodgers did after winning the World Series in 1988, they proceeded to fuck up a winning team by hiring stars who weren't worth it and letting ego wreck the rhythm.
They had to do that because Shaq and Kobe couldn't get along or keep that championship team together. Otherwise they'd STILL be winning.
And Shaq and Kobe couldn't get along, mostly, as far as I could see, because Kobe was a spoiled primadonna in a lot of ways. Shaq can be an egotistical doofus himself sometimes, but I understand Kobe was the one most of the team had a problem with.
I recognize that he does better now, but he's still got work to do to try to make me a fan again. I still remember him buying his way out of that stupid-ass cheating scandal or whatever it was by giving his girl a two million dollar ring or some shit - that doesn't impress me.
I recognize maybe Kobe's better than T.O. in terms of contributions to their respective sports, but still...I got sick of pampered L.A. athletes back when the Dodgers hired Darryl Strawberry and then we all had to watch him suck the team's payroll out through a straw while batting like .230, or whatever it was.
Sorry man. I know you might be a Kobe fan but I haven't been able to muster it since the championship runs...it was disappointing.
