I say SEGAAAAA on every Sega game. I did it all the time on the Dreamcast too.

I also jumped everytime I went through a door on MegaMan, there was a strange sense of satisfaction seeing him slide through in mid air.

Holy crap. I am guilty of 8 of those. The only one I didn't get was the 1st because I've never played a Fallout game.

Okay, I was going to leave some lame message about none of these applying to me until I got to the last one. I am 100% guilty of this and have been since I first played Mega Man when I was nine or so years old.

Most of them are stupid but the Megaman one is spot on. Though I don't think you can call it OCD when everyone does it... or are there people who don't jump through the door to the boss?

Another one I can think of say in any RPG, when somebody died (story-wise), do you go check their body to see if it'll yield an item.

Guilty of the majority. Jumping through doors is AWESOME.

But how long before every game site in the world are strictly collections of "The top blank blanks of all blank" articles?

I'm guilty of 4: 1, 3, 4, 5. I mean, why WOULDN'T you jump through the door in Mega Man? And it only makes sense to maximize your bullets when you pick up a clip. Some of these are just common sense :-)

2/9

#4: Timing Your Jump After A Super Mario Bros. 3 Boss To Catch The Wand Perfectly Mid-Air

#2: Picking Up Every Item In A Legend of Zelda Game Even Though You Already Maxed Out What You Can Carry

I figured I would get none of them when I read the animal crossing one; I play that one a lot, but my house may as well be a poorly organized warehouse.

I do number 4 in the old school Castlevania games.

Oh yeah, all the time. I'm still doing it now when I play Rondo on the PSP

If I didn't catch that shining ball in mid air, at the apex of my jump, I felt like I failed.

I am actually guilty of all 9 of those....

With the later Castlevania games when you had the backflip, including Drac X Chronicles, we'd felt we'd fail if we weren't landing/kneeling when we froze, having caught it while in mid-air. We tried to time the jump so we were upside down while frozen but that's basically impossible

<----Guilty as well.

I also go "Squeenix!" in a high-pitched voice whenever the Square Enix logo shows up. I'm not sure why I started doing that. Some rebellion against the idea that Squeenix is a refined and elite game company, I think.

Yeah, I can't get to it either. Somehow I suspect I'm at least 7/9 though. I definitely jump for the wand. I don't pick up items in Zelda that don't help, though - except the clock. I don't know why. Probably because it makes Link start glowing.

There's another one I can think of: whenever there were cut-scenes in the Ninja Gaiden games, we always spoke them out loud with different voices for everyone. We actually did that back in the fall when we beat them again.

Point #9: I started collecting EVERYTHING in Fallout 3, until I realized that I'm really not supposed to do that. I really had to be choosy with my pack rat skills. If it wasn't for weight, I would be collecting everything that wasn't nailed down.

Point #7: Again, about 120 saves in Fallout 3. Some games just need those to prevent some point-of-no-return fucking you up.

Point #6: Even worse, I've used a clip of ammo on some guy, and then go back to get it. Of course, if you're maxed out on ammo, the game is giving you too much, anyway.

8/9 - Missed the Animal Crossing one, but only because I haven't played it. I have done shit like that in other games, so I guess it still counts as 9/9.

I actually only get to claim #1, 3, 4, and 7. But I take the cake at 7. I'm all over unnecessary save games like white on rice.

I wish I'd played Animal Crossing to take a stab at 8...

Yeah, one of those totally should have been related to pressing "A" or the equivalent on every tile of every RPG you've ever played looking for secret items.
