Visual previews like past operas (hovering the mouse over the tab shows a thumbnail preview; but now they're customizeable. There's also a new Opera Turbo connection technology for people with slow connections, though I am not sure I'll ever use it. Other features have also been enhanced like the spell check and the sidebar (for syncing notes across multiple devices), etc..

I just downloaded it, I'll see what else I find with it. The previous Operas I felt had th best interface of all the browsers. This one is certainly an improvement.

You'll have to either use (S)IE or break down Firefox's immune system first :-)

Firefox tends to malfunction a lot, I also find it uses a lot of resources so I gave up on it a while ago.

Malfunction? How?

I find it's better than Shiternet Explorer resource-wise. Mind you, I haven't tried Opera or any other one yet.

I think they are working towards a multi-process version of Firefox, similar to Chrome, so that may be much less of a problem in the future.

Of course, if Google actually spent that time that they wasted on Chrome towards improving Firefox, instead of fragmenting the base with another browser, we would have had that new multi-processed browser already.

I like Chrome and Opera right now. I don't see competition as being a problem, give users some options to explore. Have different paths of evolution.

Opera has only a toe in the North American market (something like 2%) but has a very large userbase in Europe. I think that if people try it out they'll like it.

Opera and I have been inseparable for about four years.
