Since the guy who draws Superduper Heroes probably got shot for making fun of the Chinese government (either that or no one was actually buying it to warrant its continued existence), I picked up a different Hong Kong knockoff. This one features Ryu going back in time to fight the Nazis because M. Bison was controlling Adolf Hitler with his psycho powers, only to find that Hilter was actually a member of an alien race bent on conquering this universe and now the fate of universe is in Ryu's hands. It's pretty amazing the kind of stuff the guys at Hong Kong continued to come up with, and it always wondered how they were ever able to get copyright for this stuff and yet was unable to secure the rights to have Megaman Zero appear in Capcom vs SNK.

Moving on to other manga you might actually read...

Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - The whole Lost Canvas is obviously a retcon to make sense of the nonsense that is Saint Seiya, though in the recent episodes it clearly fails to explain one of the biggest mystery of the holy wars. While Athena and Hades has been fighting each other since the beginning of time and Athena always needed her God Cloth to fight, this knowledge was only known to the Pope (leader of the Saints) and not even Athena herself (she forgets about it every time after the war is over), to the point that the knowledge was lost in the original Saint Seiya when the current Pope was assassinated before he can pass on the knowledge to the next Pope. Yet, it is pretty clear that Hades and his henchman all know about the God Cloth and how it's created. It's pretty funny when you have the Libra Saint was sent on a top secret mission to create the God Cloth again despite the fact that every member of the opposing faction knew about this top secret that only 1 person on Athena faction should ever know.

Of course, given Saint Seiya made no sense whatsoever to begin with, to expect a good retcon would be pretty tough. Lost Canvas actually make sense most of the time, and in retrospect, the original Saint Seiya must have been too overloaded with cronism and bureaucracy.

Naruto - I think this is the first time in a while that had a fight that involves more than people staring at each other with eye power, or attack of the Naruto clones. It's a sad reminder that once upon a time you could have a fight in Naruto that didn't involve only clones or eyes.

I really like this week's Chinese translation of: "Sasuke won't be defeated by the power of convenient plot device." Of course that's not what it's said, but it actually describes how most fights go in Naruto.
