This is a really cool comic series by Mark Millar (the guy who wrote Wanted the comic, not the movie). It's about a teenager who lives with his Dad after his Mom dies. His Dad is so depressed that he's not really around and the kid decides to become a superhero. So he dresses up in a scuba suit and starts fighting crime.

The first time he goes out, he tries to stop some guys spraying graffiti. He manages to hold his own for a bit before being beaten up and stabbed. He stumbles into the street and is hit by a car. He wakes up in the hospital with major injuries. Once he recovers, he's back out again.

He ends up running into a girl and her Dad who are also crime fighters, but they are incredibly brutal and slaughter criminals with swords.

If they can maintain the same gritty realism mixed with over-the-top violence from the comic, this could be good.

If by really cool comic series you mean comic series that takes FOREVER to release more issues, then yeah you're spot on haha.

But seriously - at the rate he's releasing them I find myself not even caring any more.

To quantify the delay for other people - the wait between issues six and seven was five months.

Haha, I thought his longest delays were 3 months? If it's worse than 5 months then I definitely feel for you.

Edit: At rates like these they should just find a way to release everything all at once, shouldn't they? I must admit I do not know much about this industry.

Yeah, the premise doesn't really seem like a good one. Special covered some of that territory and is probably a better film.

That's still better than the delays back when CliffHanger formed (DangerGirl and BattleChasers). It was over a year between some issues. It was ridiculous.
