A couple of Wizards players, on of them Arenas, apparently pulled unloaded guns (well, Arenas' was unloaded) on each other in the middle of a locker room argument over a gambling debt

http://www.tsn.ca/nba/story/?id=304301

Not only is it sad to see, but all it's going to do is give more strength to the stereotype that black basketball players are all "gangsta"-related when the vast majority of them wouldn't be caught near that shit. I hope to hell the biased media idiots don't jump all over this shit as a means to push a stereotype and in the next little while it simply gets portrayed as what it is: a couple of idiots doing something stupid in the heat of the moment.

Good times. This shit is always going on. Who was it that just shot himself in the damn leg over some ridiculous nonsense trying to be a hardass in the club?

Plaxico Burress, who's in jail for another year or so 'cause of it.

This one is a bit different. These guys are teammates and actually pulled the guns on each other IN A FREAKIN' LOCKER ROOM. On Xmas Eve no less. That's some new level of idiocy, so much so that the FBI is actually investigating them.

I'm amazed how little attention it's gotten in the media so far. The shit's gotta hit the fan real soon

What the hell is occupying the media? When sensationalistic bullshit like this comes out, they're all OVER it. Look at how much press Burress got over shooting himself. You would think that two players pulling guns on each other would get at least that much if not much, much more

Some douche walked the wrong way through a TSA security checkpoint in Newark. They can't find him. http://www.cnn.com/

This is why the TSA shouldn't make $28,000. Hire more competant people and stop doing everything the cheapest.

European customs/TSA officals are professionals, not people who couldn't get jobs at McDonalds.

I'm guessing the NBA is figuring out how to react to this so there isn't much to be said until the NBA decided on what to do.

But that hasn't stopped reporters in the past from turning this shit into a circus. Why was it different this time?

Everyone is still hungover from the Tiger Woods scandal. It is too early in the season to report on the NBA. The NFL playoffs have started and a lot of coaches got fired.

That makes sense to a degree, particularly the Woods thing. I think it has to do more with info control than anything else with the FBI involved but the holidays + Woods likely contributed significantly.

Idiot....
ESPN was running some Sportscenter special yesterday and they devoted about 10 minutes to this and they pretty much said the same thing.

If you're referring to Stern and the NBA and their reaction to his huddle finger pointing, I agree. Otherwise, everything else is on Arenas' shoulders
