And you get #2 for 10% less than retail as well

Gotta hand it to Valve, they really know how to make digital downloads almost as attractive as the retail copy.

If only other people would learn from this.....*stares at Microshaft*

Yeah, looks like I'm buying the 360 version.

I preferred the 360 anyway for most FPS's... this just confirms which one I'll get.

I used to say that too, and I know Sine as well, but once you get used to it I end up preferring a controller in my hand. I just think it's a better experience on a console...

I just don't like sitting at a computer to play games. I prefer a relaxed couch environment.

Ususally your tv is bigger than your monitor

also xbox live

also achievements (PC achievements are for pussies)

Yeah, sitting in front of the comp for hours on end is not exactly an ideal gaming position. Even setting up your LCD or Plasma as your monitor and having a keyboard and mouse on your lap or on a TV tray just isn't the same as sitting back and relaxing on the couch playing a game. The controls have evolved to the point in FPSs on consoles where you don't even think about them. Add that to the fact that you have to constantly upgrade your computer to keep up with games on PCs, it becomes a far more attractive proposition to play these things on consoles.

If I played games on my PC, I would have to upgrade what, every couple of years on top of dropping an extra $500 or so to make it a gaming machine (ie. more powerful video card, extra RAM, etc)? Instead, I now have a PC that's more than adequate and has been without any upgrades for over 3 years and will be for another 3-5 years. The extra cost is not something to scoff at.

I actually sit at my computer regardless of whether I play Xbox or PC... but that's just me probably.

Oh and Zeus-- these days it's not nearly as difficult to keep a decent gaming rig. In the past 2 years I've only upgraded my graphics card, so as long as you're smart about what to upgrade when you can still keep the price tag very manageable. Still not as cheap as an Xbox/PS3, but you can't play all games on consoles.
