Kinda surprised nobody here is talking about this one at all. Just came out on the PSP, its a remake of the original Lunar. I'm about 2 hours in and really like it so far, they have fleshed it out a lot storywise, and the graphics are completly redone. Voicework has been enjoyable to me as well. Anyone else checking it out>

I liked the PS1 remake, but I've already got a backlog of impulse PSN buys to go through before thinking about Lunar.

Half-Minute Hero is $20 now and totally worth it.

Pixeljunk Monsters Deluxe is also $20 and the best title on the system IMO.

Dracula X Chronicles is a great value at $15, though I got tired of Rondo really quickly.

Still haven't tried Megaman Powered Up or Maverick Hunter yet, but would like to (hint to Capcom: bundle the two for $20).

Valkyria Chronicles 2 comes out... soon?

Must finish God of War: CoO before GoW3 comes out.

Dissidia, Vice City stories, and numerous PS1 games sit unfinished on my GO. And there are at least five other games I'd like to download if I thought I'd even make the time to try them.

Wha? Huh? Lunar, you say? 'Kay, I'm finished thinking out loud.

I luvs my Lunar but I can't justify payin' $40 for a third copy of the game, especially since I can pull out my PSX version and play it on my PS3 anytime. And with all the games coming out in the next few months (FF13, GoW3, SMG2, Sin and Punishment 2, and Metriod: Another M) and the backlog I already have (Mass Effect 1 and 2 are tops) I can't justify it

Lotus, they're never gonna bundle the MM games. They're used for $15 now at EB, or $13.50 with the Edge card. Just get them if you see them, they're steals at that price.

Here is the thing Zeus there is a lot in this game that wasnt in the original release, for example the game actually starts out with you playing as Dyne and his party.

I have a GO. That's why I wanted to sell you Jeanne D'Arc and something else (FFT or Valkyrie Profile). Maverick Hunter is $20 on PSN and Powered up is... not on PSN, I'm just realizing. Did you still want those? I think I sent you a message a while back with the price of shipping and all.

Just got to Vane, so far game has been absolutly excelent. If I were to have any complaint, its the fact that the world map is now a map of the continent and you just click on where you want to go. It kinda took a little of the special out of when you first get to Vane and find out its a floating city when you see it rotating around.

I'm not a big fan of remakes because it usually just ends up being paying twice or three times for the same thing. I guess it works out if you've never seen it but it's hard to justify it if you have played it before.

I think Sega had the right idea with Shining Force Neo where it's a totally different story and game but still has some of the similar theme (i.e. hero is still named Max, and there's a Dark Dragon at the end). For example they could've made a full fledged game on the generation before Alex.

I actually almost prefer remakes to new games nowadays. Mostly because I already know I am going to enjoy it, and it'll be somehow different than the last time I played. It probably helps that I am a big fan on replaying games. The amount of money I spend on games is outweighed by the time and enjoyment factor. The only way I see it as a waste of money is if I don't play it. I have finished every remake I have ever bought, but there are many original titles I haven't.

Well you know it's not going to totally suck but it's not going to be better than anything you've seen before. I guess with the quality of the average game it might be better to go safe than sorry, but I rather games actually try to improve instead of just stick to the same thing.

There are plenty of new great game that come out. That's not going to change the fact that there are existing games which I will want to play again. A new game hasn't earned a place in my heart (and might not, no matter how good you think it is), but an older game I have played already has.

It's kind of like buying a later edition of a favourite movie.

I typically don't have the time to replay games I've already played a few years ago. Besides, there are a select few games that would really warrant me to replay them.
