haha ever since it became impossible to buy tickets for a damn game I stopped paying too much attention to the Phillies, but he seems to be doing pretty awesome nonetheless. They haven't been doing too great lately so they need all the help they can get.

Just watch the guy pitch and you'll see why so many people around the league call him the best pitcher in baseball. Some guys have better years (look at Jiminez so far) but year-in, year-out he's always right up there in so many categories. Not to mention how amazingly efficient he is. He COULD strike out everyone like Lincecum does but he would rather throw one pitch and get a ground-out than throw 3 to get a strikeout, more efficient that way. He averages around 13 pitches per inning which is phenomenal. People starting picking up on that last year and stopped swinging all the time which is why his KO count has climbed back up.

You guys have a real solid chance this year, no one in the NL is really better than the Phillies. And you SHOULD be like that for the next few years and with a guy like Halladay anchoring your rotation, you could beat anyone, anytime. Just as long as Hamels and Happ and the rest do their part

Ha!

You know that Werth is actually an ex-Jay as well? Grew up in our minor league system with Wells and Halladay and even played a few games with us before they decided our outfield was too stacked. And it was for a while

The NL east is all clumped at the moment and while i do think the Phillies are the best team, i'm still hoping against hope that the Nationals squeeze in out of nowhere and fight for the wildcard, ha. Its been a great season for baseball so far, cant wait until Strasburg gets called up, this town will go nuts.

June 8th, get your tickets.

Your Nats have been pretty surprising just like my Jays. Hell, the Jays just beat Tampa tonight and as good as the Yanks and the Rays have been, Jays are only 2.5 behind the Rays and 1 behind the Yanks. Considering our division, that's pretty damned good. Mind you, the next month and a half is gonna be a retardedly hard stretch. Even in interleague games the Jays are playing everyone who's above .500. It's almost like the US schedule-makers are purposely trying to make it hard on the only Canadian team :-)
