It would almost be tragic for Hossa to lose the cup in 3 consecutive years on 3 different teams. Would have to be some kind of modern day record across all sports. Chicago is the stronger team, though, so they SHOULD win

Fuck that shit. Chicago is the most cursed city in the world. Serves them right for picking up Hossa to continue another curse. GO FLYERS!

I was in Chicago in September to catch a Cubs game (had to see Wrigley). That area where the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Soldier Field, and Shedd Museum are is pretty damned nice, same with the walk down Lakeshore over to them. And the aquarium was freakin' great

it wasn't that bad, we did the drive a couple of nights.

Problem with Chicago is the same as with Detroit: other than a few square blocks, the rest of the city is HORRIBLE

I was impressed with the public transportation though. I could get within a few blocks of where I wanted to go by train. I wish Louisville would move ahead with plans for a train system. I would totally use it.

We drove through Chicago to go somewhere... We drove white-knuckled the whole way through the city. People were cutting over when there wasn't any room, they just expected you to move it or get in a wreck. The "accident investigation sites" every mile freaked me out too.

You know, Heather mentioned that about the "Accident Investigation Site" signs.

I almost ran someone over close to Michigan Avenue. Apparently, they don't put all their traffic lights hanging across the middle of the road like they do here in Kentucky. And another thing is the honking. In the south (as in, Louisville and farther south) people only honk when you piss them off. Up there, its more light "Hey, I'm honking so you don't run me over."

Yeah, the subway system and the L are awesome. And if there's any city in the world that needs to get its transit system updated (to the 90s, even) it's Toronto. There's a reason it's considered to have some of the worst traffic in the world and the widest highway in the world is also considered the most congested. The subway system is literally 1/3rd of what it should be...at best. But the Torontidiots would rather concern themselves with whether or not the bars should be allowed to open an hour early for the World Cup being played half a world away than the gridlock crippling their city.
