Going to the Strasburg game very soon. Probably the most hyped rookie debut for any sport ever, and DC is going nuts about it.

I predict tonight will be much like The Scout where the main character picthes not only a perfect game, but strikes out everyone and throws not one 'ball'. Everyone will go down in 3 amazing pitches apiece. The most ridiculous thing about the worst baseball movie of all time, The Scout, is that they try to create tension by having an over the hill Ozzie Smith be the last batter who supposedly, "Has the best chance to break the perfect game." The fact that he was even up means they batted Smith 9th in the order and he already struck out twice, haha. Total garbage. Oh, and the main character hit a solo homerun, too, as a pitcher and i think the yankees won that game 1-0, so he basically did it all himself.

Somehow, Strasburg will hit a ding-dong, too.

I was reading Dorabase and one of the pitcher struck out 27 guys in a row on 3 pitches per batter like described.

14 strikeouts in 7 innings of work and 2 earned runs on 4 hits. You lose! :)

Best game ive been to ever as far as crowd involvement and electricity of the environment.

And I'm happy to be the loser. That kid rocked the shit out of his first start, good for him. And good for fans of the Nationals, they've really had nothing to cheer for since the club came back into town
