So Persona 3 came out on the PSP. I know all you guys are probably too busy playing it to notice the one REALLY important part about this game...

They kept the original opening movie in it, you just have to hang out at the main menu screen for a minute to see it. I know you were all worried.

But for serious, if you guys haven't played Persona 3 or Persona 3 FES, this PSP version is another way to play this AMAZING game. Also, the psp game is the only one that is widescreen.

Is that the one where you commit suicide with a gun? Because I'd love to play a game where the point of the game is to commit suicide.

I know you guys are just SO excited about this P3P business. Because you are, I will continue feeding you updates.

I actually started playing this game today, since I finished Dragon Quest. They have stripped out the anime cutscenes (sad) and they have changed the way you interact with the world. Whereas previously you would have your character and the camera would follow you around a space where you would go and talk with people, interact with things, etc., but now it just show an isometric perspective of the area and you just select the things you want to interact with. Your character is represented by an icon instead of a fully animated character model. It is certainly due to the hardware limitations, but if anything it speeds up the process of navigating areas and this is good. It also looks different from P3 or PSFES, so it makes it sort of new and exciting to people who have already logged in their 90 hours of this game.

It has me hooked in all over again. I am not one to play RPGs of such a substantial length for a second time, but being able to play as a girl really changes up the experience and how you interact with people (as your interactions and who you choose to spend your time with are HUGE factors in how the combat plays out.

FUN!

If you have a copy of FES, don't bother. FES apparently is better

Negative my good pal. FES is not better, it is different. Prepare for my explanation of this statement at a later time.

I bought P3P a while ago, this is probably one of the best JRPGs I've ever played, and definitely the best JRPG I've played in the past....5 years? lol

I will do it for you. P3 both regular and FES lacked in one ares...The battle system. P3P has all the enhancements of persona 4 which makes the game a lot more fun to play as you aren't constantly getting fucked by retarded ally AI. However I do think you lose a little bit of something when you lose a lot of the cutscenes and stuff like that but it's made up for by the ability to have a female protagonist and some awesome new stuff as part of social linkage because of that.
