  • This is a Live game I download day 1 if it's $10

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Pac Man Championship Edition DX

If you never played the original, it completely re-energized a 30 year-old game. THis one looks to take it to a whole new level. Just to give you an idea, you can apparently eat hundreds of ghosts at once. That's freakin' insane

There are lots of people who only play "new" stuff and would gladly pay $20 for a Penny Arcade ep and scoff at $10 for Pac-Man Championship Edition. Hell, I just recently bought a copy of the Xbox Live Arcade disc that had that, Feeding Frenzy, Luxor, and Uno on it for $1 (Boom Boom Rocket is a horrible game, I pretend it doesn't exist). But not everyone can appreciate a good update to an old game.

It's one of my fav Arcade games, easy. It's absolutely amazing.

On a slightly related note, the selection of XBLA games has been really good this summer. Besides Limbo, Castlevania HD, and Scott Pilgrim, Shank is a really good game according to X-Play (gave it 5/5). And I know that a few have recommended Monday Night Combat and the Dead Rising: Case Zero. Plants vs. Zombies just came out, in case you never played it on PC.

But, seriously, if you haven't played Limbo and you have a 360... What the fuck? I've gotten more enjoyment out of limbo than any commercial release all year on the 360.

I will get Castlevania when it hits the PSN and drops in price. Considering the game is mainly multiplayer, it's useless to me on the XBLA. Limbo will have to drop to at least $10 before I will care. Like Braid, it's a pretty good game but far too short to warrant the price they're asking for it. If I was into the Dead Rising games, I would have been all over Case Zero. That's a great price for it.

That's probably because you haven't played Alan Wake or Red Dead Redemption. They came out the same day and have been easily some of the best games on the system released in 2010, right up there with Mass Effect 2 (January) and Bioshock 2 (February)

Well, I dunno. There isn't much to Limbo after you beat it and get the 10 or so extra items. Yes, there is that survival run, but that seems a bit hardcore to me.
