What say you about Season 3? More questions than answers? I certainly thought they left quite a few loose ends for next season, moreso than previous seasons. It felt less like a finale than just another episode.

Good season, however. Really love the series over all, and it doesn't seem to slow down.

Best season so far. I think it tied up some things, but left a TON open. I can't wait till next season!

I think I'm going to get the books.

I don't know why I still watch it. I find myself unsatisfied after basically every episode... But I.. can't.. fucking.. stop....

I thought that a few scenes were far-fetched, by far the most was Bill's attempt to kill Eric. I think the 4th season will undergo a Six Feet Under sort of 3rd season rut next season.

The fucking flying thing that Bill and the Queen did was STUPID. And looked down right ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about Bill's weird attitude and deceptions with Sookie. I was just kinda WTF with him trying to kill Eric. Even Eric's chick thought it was a pretty shitty attempt.

And yes, I don't get the flying thing. Exactly who can fly and why? Is that some sort of advanced vampire trick? They never get into that at all. And yes, it looked stupid as well.

That's not to say that overall the series still kicks ass.

I think the show finally realized it is pretty cheesy this season and they ran with it. It worked better like that in my opinion.

Man, that was the dumbest use of the spoiler tag I've seen yet :P

That finale was dumb, performances and direction. This show is wildly inconsistent in quality, and it's usually at its best when it's not focusing on Sookie and Bill.

Perhaps so, but I can't get behind direction that wants me to take it incredibly seriously while interlacing the serious scenes with ones like Bill/Queen Matrix and Bill's completely uncharacteristic performance in the Russell/Eric burying scene. This problem in the case of the finale shifts the comic relief from the usual suspects (Jason, Terry, Laf) to the serious ones mentioned previously, and probably not intentionally so.

I never did like the breakup. Bill/Sookie had a good dynamic. I actually LIKED the relationship. Shit, the series is about the two of them. Breaking them up is like killing off the star of the series.

Of course, Alan Ball love misery, so his direction in this manner is somewhat predictable.

If they get happily married the author can't fuck around with shitty drama any more
