Anyone play Minecraft?
Minecraft.net
It's free for the "Classic" version, about $13 (9.99 Pounds) for Alpha version. I bought the Alpha version and it IS AWESOME!
If you buy the game, which I DO suggest, Alpha is different entirely than "Classic". Classic is like LEGO the game/world. You just build and dig. In "Alpha" you start with only your hands. You have to use wood to craft pickaxes, shovels, etc to mine different ores. There is also day and night. Day time, go out and get all the wood you can, kill animals for food and wool (etc), build your house and find a good hill to hole up in for night time. At night time...GET THE EFF INSIDE. There are zombies, and spiders and skeleton warriors oh my. At night time you can fight the bad dudes if you crafted weapons (different elemental swords, bows and arrows (you have to craft sticks and sheer sheep to get string) and more), but you'll spend most of your nights digging and mining. This game is awesome.
The above paragraph is only very truncated to the first 10 minutes of the game.
Minecraft is a sandbox game which allows players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world. It is currently in development by Markus Persson (under the pseudonym "Notch"). The gameplay is inspired by Dwarf Fortress, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Dungeon Keeper, and especially Infiniminer.[1][2] The game has two variants, Alpha and Classic, both with single- and multiplayer options. Classic includes only the building aspects of the game with unlimited blocks, while Alpha includes monsters and a much greater variety of crafting available, as well as requiring players to mine their own blocks.
Youtube the hell out of this game to learn how to play...I like this series of guides.
