  • Sony does not want my money

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

PSN won't accept my credit card. The information is correct. I have entered it exactly as it appears with my bank. It will not go through. I want to give Sony my money, but they will not take it because they are incompetent.

I can, of course, purchase PSN cards at a store, but that defeats the entire fucking purpose of digital downloads.

Yeah, I've never had any issues through the PSN store. I wonder what they don't like...

I imagine that's quite irritating. I had a very similar issue trying to purchase xCode 4.0 from the Mac App Store.

I had this issue, I had to update my profile settings I think? My zip code, or address, or something was off so it wouldn't validate my credit card.

I had this issue with Steam for a while but later found out that while my bank account was tied to my permanent address (parents) in Atlanta, that this particular card was tied to a house that I used to live in a year or two prior. Probably not your issue, though.

I triple and quadruple checked that the information was character-for-character what my bank has. The same information works fine with iTunes and Netflix.

Odd how the guy who's against digital downloads and which companies have to drag money out of for them never seen to have any issues. Mind you, I did sign up for the PSN a long time ago online as opposed to through the PS3 for something else (can't remember what), so when I got my PS3, it was just a matter of recovering the account as opposed to creating one. Have you tried that?

Out of curiosity, what are you so interested in? The deals ain't that great right now and the Castlevania DLC is a fucking rip-off at $10.

Bionic Commando Rearmed. I also may try getting full games on PSN - I noticed that ME2 was available to download. Remember, the entire catalog on PSN is all new to me.

I just picked up a PSN card when I was out. I'll try again with my credit card in a few days - at this point, they've likely frozen it temporarily because of multiple failures. Which, I grudgingly admit since it inconveniences me, is the right thing to do.

Try it through the website, it may work you never know. It would be a pain to keep havin' to buy cards.

Good choice on Bionic Commando, it's phenomenal. One of the best remakes and a measuring stick both in terms of quality & value for a downloadable game on both systems. Too bad the sequel got DRM-itis, it forces you to be online to play it even though it's a purely offline game. Fucking stupid on Capcom's part. Those of us who actually go back to games years later (see my sig pic for proof) want our games that we paid money for to actually work when we want to play them. I'm forced to get it for the 360 now.

Another suggestion: Pac-Man Championship Edition DX. Grab the demo and try it, it's unreal. This ain't your papa's Pac-Man, it's so much more. More than worth the $10

no zeus this is actually a well known issue with Visa bank cards. I really don't think there is a way for me to pay for it with the card I use now. Maybe with the switch will fix this but yeah,. I've tried everything repeatedly to see if they have fixed the issue and it still doesn't work

Maybe. I just use a regular Visa not the bank card. Debit cards rule the roost up here.

I was just givin' him another option to try.

I was able to buy PE the other day via PSN. I had to download the new firmware update and agree to the terms. Also I didn't go back to add stuff to my wallet. Apparently the new PSN just automatically does this now if you have your CC tied to your account.

The subway machine didnt want my $20 (it spit it back out), but it credited my rider card anyway. Now that's a good business model.

Yeah, you can just add money to your wallet. It's a min of $5, though, in case you ever buy cheaper stuff. THat'll stay on your PSN account and you can use it towards your next purchase. But it will never add less than $5

Finally called customer service, which, as far as customer service experiences go, was good. The only thing he had me do different was to not include my apartment number in the address, which is retarded since it is in my official bank address, and about 50 people live at my street address. Way to go Sony.
