I started playing this one today. I am into my first detective case, the guy who got me the promotion, an Irish sounding Captain, reminded me A LOT of Dudley Smith (James Cromwell) from LA Confidential. He even had lines that were either identical or very close to what was said to Edmund (Guy Pierce) in the movie. Foreshadowing? =)

I am a little way into the game now. It is a cross between the Ace Attorney series and The Godfather set in the world of LA Confidential. They took some things from Assassin's Creed as well; pushing people around, a little bit more advanced of a hand to hand combat system (Reddead and GTA sucked in this field), getting around/over obstacles when running.

The cases are shorter and easier than the Ace Attorney series cases. The game is NOT an action game like GTA, although it does have action sequences in it.

Anyway, there is a good amount of detail in the game, particularly in the faces. It gives the dialogue sequences a lot of flavour... And there is a lot of dialogue, similar to Ace Attorney.

Oh, and the action sequences can be skipped if you fail them 3 times in a row.
