The entire North River is a dull reddish colour due to the wild waves kicking up the riverbed. Walking past there and into the woods, the wind is blowing hard enough through the leaves that all I can hear is an extremely loud white noise. There's no rain as is typical of tropical storms, but I am sure that when I get down to the harbour I'll see some damage and signs of flooding. We had some storms last year that had the water blowing waves over the rocks and onto the roads.
I keep looking up all the same as dark clouds pass over, but it is generally sunny. Hopefully... I have about 3.5 kilometers (I think that's about 2 miles or a little higher) to go... And here comes a massive cloud out of the western sky.
Lots of new branches down. On the bright side, at least this storm blew away all of the humidity that's been hanging out here since early July.
