  • Retailers that break street dates on games.

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

So anybody know of any retailers that don't give a crap and send out games the moment they get them in stock? :)

Also online retailers that break street date.

With the always-on tracking with PSN and Live, a lot of the retailers are afraid to now. They can track it down very quickly based on your IP to the few stores around you. Certainly none of the big stores will

The Euro online retailers are @ War, UK Gamestop sending out games early with a friendly note not to play the game before it's release. ;p

Was wondering if any retailers in the US were doing that as well, but more on the downlow, I know Amazon slipped and shipped a game or two early before, but it's not reliant enough.

Third-shift Walmart employees don't give a single fuck. I've gotten probably around 10 or so games about 3 days early by scouting Walmarts.

Is your Xbox connected online when you play them?

Yes, but you can not be banned from Live for playing a legit copy of anything. The bans only start rolling in when it's a burned copy (or when you can't prove that you actually own it).

Yeah it's not the gamer's fault if they get the game early. :)

Places all over the country do break street dates. In New York especially lots of mom & pops stores start selling stuff as soon as they get it, I know Marvel 3 was on justin.tv a solid week before it's release.

But in New Orleans, I looked around most of the stores down here don't even get their games in until the day before. X_X Which is why I was looking for an online retailer that might just ship that shit early.

They certainly tried

But then changed their focus to the downloaders

And what I was sayin' before is that they will use your info to narrow down the retailers who break street date. Ain't that hard to find the 3 or 4 stores in your area once they know your IP

It was always people who pirated and were dumb enough to get on Live.

I don't think they've ever intentionally banned anyone from Live for playing early.

As for tracking via IPs to local retailers, that's not an exact science. Like I said New York area is pretty notorious for it, and this has been going on for a while now.

They can't even ban the pirates right. They did a huge ban wave for the AP25 discs before retracting that.
