I like this new meme. Especially since this lineup is SOFA KING HILARIOUS!
Rosalina: But you didn't. Robert: But I DON'T. Rosalina: You sure that's right? Robert: I was going to HAVE told you they'd come? Rosalina: No. Robert: The subjunctive? Rosalina: That's not the subjunctive. Robert: I don't think the syntax has been invented yet. Rosalina: It would have had to have had been. Robert: Had to have...had...been? That can't be right.
Yeah, so, in order to appeal to a broader base they pick another rich white dude who's fiscally conservative, born rich, and is an extra middle finger to everyone who doesn't have so much money they don't know what to do with it? I'm definitely feeling better about November. I'm glad the Republican party is back to basics.
I'm not sure about the LOTR reference. Maybe Wormtongue for Paul Ryan? Gimli is kind of loveable.
I think everybody knows that they are going to lose at this point. Though, I think they are even going to drag down the Republican majority in Congress, too.
At least, I hope so. Of course, the public has been sticking there fingers in their ears and shouting "LALALALALALA!" for the past several decade or two, anyway. I swear, it's like the truth is just "words" to everybody any more.

One of the biggest confusions of Conservatism, is how Conservatives can claim to to be strict adherents to both the values of the new testament of the Bible, and Ayn Rand's Atlast Shrugged or The Fountainhed.
My guess is that most of these people have not actually read any of these book.
There's a lot of confusion with the right in the United States. Being for the so-called sacred value of life but being all for capital punishment for one (even on the mentally retarded). Life as sacred but a willingness to defend their right to bear arms to the death to the point of firing on law enforcement for another. Ugh. Cheering at the idea that people would die if government doesn't intervene with health care. People would literally rather die early than have a little of what they perceive as freedom taken away.
I was always, and am currently, confused about the Repubs desire to cut taxes and government spending, yet they support HUGE military budgets and are all for every skirmish/war we get ourselves into. There is zero way we can pay lower taxes without a massive military budget cut, period, IMO.
No, that's a fact that they tend not to address and the biggest problem with that budget plan Paul Ryan came up with. They'll have to come up with some kind of actual plan that will completely showcase how much they want to destroy the middle class by slashing spending for public works/programs while still maintaining/increasing military spending. And a lot of the right will be so blinded by racism/'values'/general ignorance to care.

Damn it. Please four more years. Please.
Carlin said it best:
Why, why, why, why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't wanna fuck in the first place? Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? They're all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you're born, you're on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don't want to know about you. They don't want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you're preborn, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're fucked. Conservatives don't give a shit about you until you reach 'military age'. Then they think you are just fine. Just what they've been looking for. Conservatives want live babies so they can raise them to be dead soldiers. Pro-life... pro-life... These people aren't pro-life, they're killing doctors! What kind of pro-life is that? What, they'll do anything they can to save a fetus but if it grows up to be a doctor they just might have to kill it? They're not pro-life. You know what they are? They're anti-woman. Simple as it gets, anti-woman. They don't like them. They don't like women. They believe a woman's primary role is to function as a brood mare for the state. Pro-life... You don't see many of these white anti-abortion women volunteering to have any black fetuses transplanted into their uteruses, do you? No, you don't see them adopting a whole lot of crack babies, do you? No, that might be something Christ would do. And you won't see a lot of these pro-life people dousing themselves in kerosene and lighting themselves on fire. You know, morally committed religious people in South Vietnam knew how to stage a god-damned demonstration, didn't they? They knew how to put on a fuckin' protest. Light yourself on fire! Come on, you moral crusaders, let's see a little smoke to match that fire in your belly.

Except for people that are dumb enough to believe this. Remember that there are over a billion people brainwashed into religion. Political brainwashing is easy.

Don't forget about the Republican-only vote, the anti-black vote, and the rich-man vote
