What would you prefer: a full-on reboot of Batman or someone else continuing the story in their own way in Nolan's world?

To be honest, I enjoyed Nolan's movies, but the only thing I'd miss about them is the Joker, and the actor who gave us that performance as the Joker is dead, so you'd only get a poor imitation if you decided to bring that character back.

Also I hated DKR's ending.

Can anyone else accurately do Nolan's style, or again would we just get a poor imitation?

For Batman, you don't need to always do an origin story. You just need to show Batman, show criminals, show Batman ending them early on and then touch on why he fights with flashbacks to his parents. Batman doesn't have any super powers or origin from another planet that really needs to be explained for 45 minutes-hour. His drive however is important.

Batman Begins was interesting because you focused on the Bruce Wayne character and his growth into the Batman, the first half moreso then the second half.

I feel like we'll see the new Batman in Justice League and they'll reboot it after that. I read a really good argument recently for making the next Batman movie Batman Beyond. http://io9.com/5938388/10-reasons-the-n ... man-beyond

A Batman like Nolans with the art style of Burton would be nice also. I don't like Burton's Batman for its story and actors, but I did enjoy the style elements.

I personally think that the way Nolan ended it no one can take it over now. You pretty much have no choice but a reboot.

Considering how much money they make, we know there will be a reboot. Maybe they'll link it with the JLA stuff, maybe not. But there will be one in a few years, guaranteed

That's not the American way! Keep rebooting it until it's drilled into the ground!

Don't like how Spiderman ended? Reboot it!
Don't like how Superman returned? Reboot it!
Don't like how X-Men ended? Re...errr, prequel it!

Reboot Total Recall! Reboot Clash of the Titans! Reboot Robocop! Reboot Judge Dredd!

Wait, what? Dredd? Seriously? Who gives a flying fuck about that abortion of a movie?!

Like, I'm honestly shocked that Johnny Depp wasn't Batman. I don't care if it was in the 80's.

Pretty much. I loathe Burton.

From what I keep hearing Dredd is actually suppose to be really good.

Can't be worse than the Stallone one.....

And it's supposed to be closer to the comics anyways. I'll download it and see but like Total Recall, I don't have any real hopes for it

You know, the actor seems to give this deadpan performance, and it made me wonder if that was supposed to be some element that was in the source material.

EDIT: Wait, that's Karl Urban? Interesting.
