Goddamn I wish R-Money comes up with a great word like that and they go back and forth comin' up with names for each other. Would make this a lot more interesting of a race :-)

Oh, god, he's saying Obama has 'no agenda' worthy of electing him for another term. ROMNEY who has next to no platform other than 'I'm not him'. This is worse than him saying Obama was running a negative campaign against him. Man, oh, man. Comedy GOLD

Hey, let's keep this bipartisan. I was just commenting on how much more entertaining the race would be. Besides, Obama basically won for being the anti-Bush, same with Clinton. R-Money is just using the same strategy

Obama won for a lot of reasons, not just because he was running on not being Bush, but because McCain was running on being the Bush Presidency's sequel. And many other things.

I truly dont even give a fuck anymore. I put a lot of faith into Obama and 'change' only to realize my life has been exactly the freaking same these past 4 years. If any president had the potential to make interesting country changing decisions, it would have been Obama, but nothing happened. It doesnt matter who we elect. With that said, im happy to re-elect Obama just because he isnt an idiot.

Honestly, don't you think that being in the same position now having lived through the Great Recession as actually a positive thing? Not too many in your country can say that

I've never, ever made my hatred for all politicians a secret. In fact, one of the greatest insults I can give a person is calling them a "politician". It's my way of saying "you're useless as a human being"

Obama = Exactly the same.
McCain = Wall St. Gangbang with the Middle Class as the lube.

Be thankful that you're not in a Second Great Depression. Especially with the mind-boggling amount of interference the GOP has done with the Senate.

It really is much more of a Great Depression II: The World Warrior than a Great Recession. They're just avoiding calling it that for politican reasons

That and calling it the second Great Depression would make us look like gigantic pussies because people who lived through the first one are still alive and it's nowhere near as bad.

It's been many moons since I studied it but I'd be curious to look at actual stats instead of anecdotes comparing the Great Depression to the Great Recession. The world's economy is much more complex now and so many safeguards came in after the Depression to stop some of what happened to make it so harsh (there was basically an overhaul in the banking industries) and long that it'll be difficult to really compare. And we have a lot of countries helping each other out in Europe whereas in the 30's they were much more autonomous. Not to mention we're still in the middle of the Recession and it'll be a little while longer before we seen the true long-term impact.

But it would be a nice academic exercise to undertake....I just want someone else to do it :-)

Obama: "Even kids can smell a bullshitter"

There are a lot of other stories about what's been going on recently, like DVDs dropped in people's mailboxes with false info and such. These last couple of weeks are gonna be entertaining. I gotta read up more on that "horses and bayonettas" thing :-)
