So, for those that don't know, we in Canada got fisted when the Canadian dollar went down - Sony upped the price of a PS4 from $399 to $449. Me, being stubborn, refused to pay the new price. I was waiting for a bundle to come out to somewhat lessen the price increase.
From June 10-12 Futureshop.ca had the PS4 w/ Infamous Second Son for $469 - I figured getting I:SS for $20 vs. the regular $70 was a good enough excuse to get one.
Speaking of I:SS, I beat the damn game in two days on the hardest difficulty. I have to do the web-featured Paper Trail quest still, but I'm in no rush - I'll likely go and grab Watch Dogs today.
Another decent deal futureshop had going on: If you pre-ordered 3 games that were announced or covered at E3, they would give you up to $20 off per game. I pre-ordered Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor (msrp $70 CND, got for $49.99) and Metal Gear Solid 5 (msrp $70 CND, got for $49.99) for the PS4, and Smash Bros for the Wii U (msrp $65 CND, got for $46.42).
So... yay! Back to console gaming for me (at least for now)
