The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • Hey Zeus, whats the story behind you owning a game store?  Someone mentioned it one time and it has had me thinking about it because i've always wanted to run one and all my business experience will hopefully lead me down that road in 5 years or so.&

  • Somehow, we still tolerate each other. Eventually this will be the only forum left.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Read 'Acts of Gord' and get an idea of what you are heading into. Seriously though I think Zeus did better with the Video rentals than he did with the games. But what do I know, it was his & Zoltan's store. Yes, his partner/friend is Zoltan. Best name EVER!</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>I figured Gord is, of course, exagerating a bit. I bet i would do better to franchise a Gamestop (if they even franchise) if i went down that route.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>ah, lost money on the venture and still a little raw? Another reason why franchising a Gamestop or EBGames would be best.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>No, from time in Zeus' store & hanging with other friends who work at EB (I also once worked there) you really do come in contact with people that stupid.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Not really, it was more about how the system up here works, where you can get a loan unless you don't need it. Also, it's more money to start than you initially think, at least $70Gs</div>
