The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • You'd have to be a damn fool to download any movies off Kazaa. I just did a search for Shark Tale and came up with over 100 matches, way back when you'd be lucky to find 4 matches to movies, let alone 100. No wonder ppl are getting caught right and left.

  • Somehow, we still tolerate each other. Eventually this will be the only forum left.

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>MPAA/etc plant "fakes" in every P2P system they can find...not to mention the hundreds of anti-piracy krusader kiddies who plant even more dubious files.

And actually, downloading is something that isn't prosecuted...whether it's legal to download movies/games/music/etc is still a very "ify" issue. Hell, in Canada it's actually legal download.

What is illegal, however, is sharing/uploading. If they can trace you, you are at risk.

Truth is, if you don't know what you are doing (ie: scanning/rooting), you should not attempt to share shit...to do so makes you a dumbass.

That said, bittorrent is relatively safe, especially since you can hack any prog to remove the upload. There are other methods too (NGs, IRC, servers)....explore at your discretion.

Nothing is 100% safe....except making sure you share nothing.

PS - Remove Kazaa. You shouldn't even have it installed unless you dig downloading virus infested kiddy porn.
