  • This does not bode well.

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I think that article is highly biased considering the site is owned by Microsoft =P Just look at the facts and not their opinions</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana, tahoma; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>I have a hard time believing that Sony is not going to cut the price this year no matter what. If they feel that the Gamecube or Xbox start cutting into their sales, they'll react.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "comic sans MS"; text-align: left; '>Nah...they learned their lesson from last year's PS2 launch. When PS2 sold out, people bought up Dreamcasts. They figure when XB and GC sells out, PS2 will benefit from the lack of competitive units.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>They currently assume that there won't be enough Gamecubes and XBox out there to make a difference, and if there is some kind of Gamecube/XBox craze they'll just run out of those units, and the guys who couldn't get a Gamecube/XBox will probably look for a PS2 instead.

Of course, if Nintendo or Microsoft revealed they actually have a hidden stash of 2 million console systems, I think Sony will react.

Though I hope the price of PS2 will go down, there isn't enough competition at the horizon right now to warrant doing that as a business move. I don't remember the exact numbers, but there isn't exactly a lot of Gamecube/XBox consoles available, so even if every one of them sold out, it's still not going to effect the PS2 very much.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>I am not spending $300, or even $250 on a PS2. $200 is the max I'll pay for any new console.</div>
