<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>It's pretty consistent in quality with respect to the other Final Fantasies.
The battle system is similar to the old Final Fantasies. You've choices but it doesn't make a lot of sense to make Yuna go all out on HP and attack power at the beginning, for example. Summons are basically free life bars to burn and they're extremely abusive. Like FF8, characters ultimately become better than summons (Tidus is godly with Quick Trick + Haste), but you're most likely going to stick with summons the first time. Fortunately the summons do animate pretty fast so you don't have to waste time watching it, and besides, summons aren't really good for regular enemy battles since they're slow, have comparable HP to a player, and takes damage the same way, but are much harder to heal than players. Standard boss tactics seem to boil down to charge the Overdrive bar on your main summons in regular fights, and then just use summon overdrive nonstop. If that doesn't work you can always fall back to your regular team.</div>
