<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Look at their sales world-wide:
- current Xbox sales are the level of 2000 N64 sales in Japan. I mean, it's pathetic. Not too long ago, I checked the weekly sales at Magic Box, and they sold 1800 units. Sad. Their best selling game is DOA3 and I don't think it's even hit 100,000 copies yet. That's hurting...big
- in the US, Nintendo's GameCube CURRENTLY (past month and a half or so) outselling the Xbox ('Box still had more overall), and that's with a nothing lineup, not a single big release from Nintendo since Smash Bros. Ouch
- Europe: not too bad in Germany thanks to an extreme price war, OK in England, lukewarm in Austrailia even with an extreme price drop.
I'm not praising one system over the other, just looking at the business aspect. Right now, Microsoft is getting crushed and they feel the only way they can get back into it (and try to survive) is by aggressive pricing. That will force Sony (can't be more expensive than 'Box for too long) and Nintendo (can't be same price as 'Box) to drop as well. And I'll be there awaiting the spoils of war :-)</div>
I was there on that fateful day, were you?
