<div style='font: ; text-align: left; '>Oh wow...I thought it would be hard to top the first game, but they did a damn good job with this. The new characters are fun and all the old characters have new moves on top of the old. Ivy is almost a totally new charcter now. New characters are Raphael, Talim, Cassandra, and YunSung and Charade. Returning characters are Mitsurugi, Kilik, Xianghua, Voldo, Ivy, Taki, Nightmare, Astaroth, Maxi, and Cerventes. I have played all of the new characters and many of the old ones. The game seems EXTREMLY well balenced at this point.
Talim, the character I am learning first. Very quick. She doesnt stop moving. She has a lot of moves that can bounce you off the ground and a lot of quick moves to get in between combos, as well as good guard break moves.
Raphael: Takes the title of poke master away from Kilik. He can be very hard to dodge if played right. His best attacks are vertical but they can be mixed up with horizontal play to keep sidesteppers honest.
Cassandra: She is Sophitias daughter. Note that this takes place 20 years after SoulCalibur. She is a lot better than her mom and a lot more vicious, I see her picked a lot though I have only played her once.
YunSung: He is nothing like Hwang. He has a lot of awesome kick combos as well as some really good attacks with his sword. He also has the coolest looking unblockable in the game, but I will let u see it for yourself.
Astaroth: Always one of my favorates, they made him even meaner in the new one. He has one move where if it hits from a counter hit you can land his air throw guarenteed.
Voldo: Probally the least changed character to my notice. He has one or two new moves that I've found, but the biggest diffrence is that his attacks do more damage.
Maxi: Wow they made him awesome in this one. One of his best additions is his new pure soul loop. He constantly swithes stances from left outer to right outer, and you can sidestep while you do it. Nasty.
Yoshimitsu: He is time unlock, but from what I understand they changed him RADICLY. They wanted SC2 to have no clones, so from what I hear he is now closer to his Tekken counterpart.
Ivy: Oh wow, she is like a totally new character now. Many of her old great moves are there still but some of her best ones involve her new stances where she can actually run around swinging the whip around. Also she has a new unblockable that is really nasty. Hits mid and quick charge time.
Charade: The Edge Master char for the game. Nuff said.
Nightmare: He has two or three new stances and some nasty new moves. One of his outfits is him without the helmet on and wow they made Sigfried look nasty ^_^
Cervantes, Taki, Mitsurugi, Kilik, and Xianghua I have yet to play, though I have seen some new moves for each of em.
Other new play features include the addition of walls. They dont work anything like their Tekken 4 counterparts. One of the neatest things about them though is that if you are hit into the wall you can actually guard impact off of it and surprise your opponet.
Ringouts arent as frequent anymore. They still happen but it is much harder to get one now.
