  • Is it just me, or does Kingdom Hearts just look like a giant Disney advertisement?

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Mind you I'm only basing this off of the commericials, but it just looks like a Squaresoft RPG with a fairly basic plot, and these massive array of Disney characters thrown together just for the hell of it. The Squaresoft characters look like your typical SS characters, and the Disney characters don't see to fit, because they act like Squaresoft characters. For those who have played this game, is this not far from the truth?</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>I think if they wanted to make a cutesy RPG, they could have teamed up with someone besides disney. As far as it being a basic RPG, i'd have to say that so far it still is fairly complicated and geared toward the older crowd. I like the old FF chars a lot, its fun to interact with them, they could have made that a game alone and nixed disney altogether. The storyline so far is typical SS where you dont know really know what the hell is going on and need to explore more before they reveal anything, the disney chars dont add much to this either. I'd have to say that i'm happy with the game play and battle system and plot line thus far, but am still confused as to why they chose to do a disney game, i think too much disney may kill it for me.

I liked mario RPG for the SNES a hell of a lot, so dont think i just dont like kiddie RPG's because that is not true.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Mario RPG was actually a good concept. It's not like they were trying to combine two sets of characters. But, to me, it looks like Daffy Duck is trying to be, say, Barret from FF7 or something.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt ; text-align: left; '>OK, a duck with a short temper compared to a black man who speaks ebonics with a gun on his arm.....don't you think ummm, that's a strech? :)</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Garamond; text-align: left; '>...the game itself is complicated enough to appeal to most gamers, probably a bit too hard for the typical Disney demographic...a 5 year old definitely wouldn't like it or even be able to finish it...

...the storyline so far is simple but has some mystery to it, and the relationships between the lead non-Disney/non-Square characters is deeper than you'd expect...

...it is a game for fans of both Disney and Square...kind of an orgy of cameos, but there is a real game there and it doesn't come off as an ad...more like a tribute or a gift for fans...and the Disney characters act like you'd expect, not like Square characters even though they participate in battle...so far all the cameos have been spot-on and the worlds are perfect for the movies they represent...

...it's no more an ad than any Disney game based on a Disney movie...take that as you want, but it is a game...</div>

<div style='font: 12pt Garamond; text-align: left; '>1. You should be shot for mixing up Daffy and Donald Duck :) 2. He acts just like you'd expect Donald to act...</div>
