  • FFX is interesting so far...worth the money to rent, at least...

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 12pt "Courier New"; text-align: left; '>The thing that bothered me most about that game was the fact that there was no over-world map you could traverse freely. I think those add to the epicness of a game.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>The highlight of many RPG seems to be when you get a method that makes traveling on the Overworld map obselete (air ship, etc, etc). Most of them aren't even that good to look at.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>While I thought FFX pulled it off without one, I like having them - they give me more of a "world" feeling. And some games don't have random encounters in the overworld - like CT. One of the many things that game did right.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>CT's New Game+ was the greatest feature since sliced bread, yet nobody followed suit except for the sequel. CC had the Fast Forward button, but nobody followed suit. CT had the visable encounters, but very few games followed suit. Xenogears had combos, but nobody else did it.

It doesn't take much to polish the gameplay of an RPG, and you can even steal ideas if you want to, but nobody wants to do it. It's not like Square has a fucking patent on this RPG ideas. It's funny because I could design the greatest RPG ever made, with all of the features from previous RPGs, but nobody would bother with making it.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I have it, but it's more about having another good forward to take the load off Tidus...half the time I have him use Sphere shot because I can break a single defender and it adds more to his shot rating. Not that negating two defenders entirely is BAD, but the shot also eats up a ton of time.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Actually, no. I never found Blitzball to be fun. I told Wakka that if he wanted his ultimate weapon, he can go fuck himself, cuz I wasn't about to screw with that damn game.</div>
