  • Picked up .Hack/Infection and DarkCloud 2.  First 2hrs of .Hack impressions.

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Wow sums it up sofar. I've never played a MMORPG, but this game 'feels' like one should. The gameplay so far is tight, with play in 'the World' and the desktop adding something completely different and refreshing in a console RPG.

The customization of everything from Weapons/Armor to the actual levels you go to is daunting as well. It might just force me to buy a guide to the game if I can't find good faq's over at Gamefaqs.

I'm only 2hrs in, but already I've pushed Master Quest and DC 2 to the side to give .Hack my full attention.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I popped in DC2 to give it a whirl. Now I don't know which game to focus on!

Dark Cloud 2 is enough like the original that you can skip 'most' of the manual or in game tutorials. There are some really good additions that you've all probably read about tho.

I'm not a graphics whore, but both of these games are doing things beyond what I thought the PS2 could do. I guess the developers are finally learning how to tweak it.

For a solid game, either one is a good bet, but DC2 is cheaper at the moment.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>What does it compare too? Maybe a cross of Actraiser for the SNES and Zelda OoT as far as gameplay goes. It is a very polished game, so far no complaints</div>
