  • NES titles coming to Gameboy Advance from Square and Nintendo: Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., Ice Climbers, Excite Bike, Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy 1&2

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>The Nintendo ones aren't really a surprise, they were announced a long time ago and were pretty much assumed for North America, they sold hundreds of thousands of copies in Japan. However, it'll be interesting to finally be able to play Final Fantasy on GBA, it's the first in the series, the shortest, and the simplest, but it's always been a fun game. Part 2 is absolutely horrible in my opinion, and even though it's on the same cartridge as FF1, I'll probably never play it. Of the NES titles, I'll be picking up both Ice Climbers and Legend of Zelda, they're fairly pricey for what they are (ports of 20 year old games), $20 USD, but just to play those games on the medium of the Gameboy Advance SP makes it well worth it for me. The Final Fantasy package I believe might be the same versions that they used for PSX, which I heard "were butchered" (by fans of Final Fantasy 1) but I haven't played them yet so I won't make a commend here.

Games I would really like to see ported:

NES
Final Fantasy 3j
Faxanadu
The original Paperboy
Ice Hockey
Castlevania III
The original Contra
Metroid

From SNES:
Terranigma
Chrono Trigger
Illusion of Gaia
Final Fantasy III
Soul Blazer
Secret of Evermore
Fire Emblem series
Romance of the three Kingdoms III
Lufia 1 and 2

Updates I'd like to see:
Final Fantasy Legend 1 & 2
Metroid 2

I'd list more but a lot of the games I wanted to see updated have already been done so. Like Final Fantasy Adventure</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Zelda will be worth picking up. I'd love Chrono Trigger, Ice Hockey, Contra, or SNES FFIII. I've never played Secret of Evemore but I would if it came out for GBA.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I want one of the GBA SPs that looks like the original NES controller. The Japan one is better, but that one looks neat</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I've heard of a possible package deal, I think I am going to consider it, I like some of the unique looking GBA SP's and I want to collect a few of them.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>-The magic system has been changed from level stocks to the much more widely used MP system. I really hate this idea. One of the draws that I had to the FF1 magic system was going through, using Fire1 lighting 1 spells, and then saving my big spell (maybe Nuke) for the final battle of the dungeon. Now it's a matter of just saving all your magic and not using any until the final battle where it will be most beneficial, just like in the majority of RPG's.

-You can now save anywhere in the game.

-There is also a new dungeon with several classic bosses from throughout the series, including new optional super bosses like Omega Weapon from Final Fantasy 8. There are new special weapons and armour. I might do this just for something different.

-There are new story details

-tweaked graphics.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>new special weapons and armor is dumb. I still have the original weap/armor fold out map thing and basically have it memorized along with the locations of the things. New stuff complicates matters.</div>
