  • Question, For those who do not have an unusual interest in the plot of Final Fantasy 1, what makes 9 better than 7?

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>FF8's system encourages you to not level because the stat bonus from Junction is fixed. Ultimecia is easier at level 1 than level 99, though Meltdown + Spd-J is all you need in FF8, even if you never bothered to get stuff like Lionheart.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>the 'class' like path in FF10 is pointless because if you go Yuna or Lulu's path you end up with never having enough HP to survive any heavy melee bosses if you fall behind on the sphere grid, not to mention spells don't come close to melee damage until you get Holy</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>But they're not really that different from FF VII's limit breaks. In some cases, they're exactly the same. Cait Sith and Setzer both had that "Slots" option.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>I'm comparing them because they're the only non-aesthetic feature in both games that distinguish one character from another. A skill set is a skill set regardless of how often you can use it.</div>
