  • Question, For those who do not have an unusual interest in the plot of Final Fantasy 1, what makes 9 better than 7?

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>don't the spellcasters still get cure & life? That's pretty much all the spells you ever needed.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Ultimecia is easy as long as you've the HPs to survive Shockwave Pulsar and you didn't get very unlucky when she blows away your spells.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I had an enormous amount of trouble on Ultimecia the first time through along with some of the other bosses, but that was mainly because it was my learning run; I didn't even get the hang of the junction system (mainly because I wasn't trying to) until my second time through the game a couple years ago. That is when my opinion of the game went from FF8 being above average in the series to being my favourite.

I am going to try FF10 again later this summer with a bit more research into which characters I should use, custom weapons and stuff, I didn't take advantage of that my first time through. I think I will enjoy the game more next time; I also have yet to really play FF10-2, it is just sitting there.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>It does around 6-7.5K damage, but by upping physical defense you can lower that.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>In fact I am playing through it now alongside Tales of Destiny 2 and Illusion of Gaia. I don't really care what people say about that game or Chrono Trigger, I still think that there are very few RPG's that reach that level. I like FFIII slightly more than Chrono Trigger, I don't know why, I just find it to be more fun, it's probably mainly because you can do a lot more in it.

Yeah, I do think that if someone doesn't like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy III that they're either a very negative and depressed person or that there is something wrong with them =)</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Hmmm, that could actually be fun, I'm doing that right now. To make FFT challenging, try playing it with just Ramza, it actually makes for an interesting and unique play experience.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>I'm just saying I don't think the FFs should be held as the standard against which all other RPGs should be judged.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>No, just 6 and 9, along with Panzer Saga and the Chronos</div>
