The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • I can't look at Gamethought until I finish Kingdom Hearts, in order to avoid the peanut gallery telling me Darth Vader is Sora's father or something.  But it RULES and I had to say that.  I am eight hours in and I don't think I have ever played

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Dude, if you don't want to be spoiled stop talking about the fucking game. Sheesh! It is an awesome game though. Especially the part with Darth Va...errr, nevermind : )</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I like the part where Sora finds the Statue of Liberty and realizes that he's been on Earth all along...I hope that doesn't spoil anything. :)</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>The only real reply that would make you happy, it seems, to a post like this is a simple confirmation "Yes, that game is fun." which you dont need to hear because you are having fun with it. Pointless.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt ; text-align: left; '>I don't really have many friends into games right now. I would have liked to share my enthusiasm with others. But it seems people will read "This game is fun" as "Please tell me all about the plot and ending". Anyway, I've learned my lesson, for this site anyway.</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I thought it was enjoyable. Light-hearted and not over complicated is nice once in a while. :)</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>KH is the one game that shows plots are, for the part, unnecessary. There really isn't any meaningful explanation as to why anything happened in that game. The characters are just cool by themselves regardless.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Some times plots get in the way of the adventure elements of a game (I.E. Sword of Mana)</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I can just see this in KH2:

Mickey Mouse: "Sora... I am... your father!"
Sora: "No!"
Mickey Mouse: "Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy, Father and Son!"

I guess that'd mean Kairi would turn out to be Sora's sister. Donald Duck would be like R2D2 and Goofy would be like 3-CPO...</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>It COULD be a spoiler for Illusion of Gaia, but in Terranigma you know from the front of the box, or the introductory scene to the game (before actually hitting "New Game") if you don't own the cartridge.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Dragon Warrior 3 and 4, Hybrid Heaven, The Bouncer, Uncharted Waters, New Horizons. I think a lot of Japanese specific RPG's take place on Earth.</div>
