<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>I cannot think of a more meritorious choice to direct a Metroid movie than David Cronenberg. It'll never happen in a million years, but think of how fucking awesome it would be. If not, then I'll settle for Ridley Scott.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Please understand that my imagination is pretty fucked up. My idle vision of a Metroid movie involves lots of weird stuff, particularly concerning the parasitic nature of the Metroids themselves. I'd like to see the concept of their feeding off creatures' "life forces" twisted to an extreme nature. It'd definitely be pretty gross, since I sheepishly dig that sort of thing. Try watching Cronenberg's "The Fly" to see what I mean.

In the end, however, nothing matters if the story isn't any good. David Cronenberg has made a few clunkers, but I trust him to have a better chance of making a great movie than most other directors I can think of. Even his failures (ExistenZ, for instance) are at least interesting to watch.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>I realize now that I've been a Cronenberg fan for a long time without even knowing who he was. His style seems to be getting a bit dated though.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Yeah. There's only so many "that was false!" twists you can have before you stop being surprised and start being annoyed. It can be very sloppy.</div>
