Iron Chef...

Anyway, what do you people think about Iron Chef? I think it's totally rigged like wrestling. The Iron Chefs never lose. The judges are horribly biased, and on top of that they're not even food expert. It's always like:

Judge A (Fortune Teller): "Whoa, this is so good, better than what I can make!"
Judge B (Used car salesman): "This is way better than the scraps I had for dinner!"

I'm wondering why they don't let the announcer who at least seems to know something about fine dining do the judging instead of some random bums off the street they pull.

Oh yeah, let's not get to the international competitions. The Japanese judges will never let a foreigner win. The only reason the challengers ever won is if they don't have Japanese judges.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Morimoto lost to Bobby Flay with Japanese judges. And the Iron Chefs actually lose a pretty fair amount, they're just really GOOD is all. And they usually have at least one professional food critic on the panel.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>You want to know fixed? Watch the International Iron Chef episode where Morimoto (I think it was Morimoto) takes on the chef from France. The panel is split with two French judges and two Japanese. During the tasting none of the judges are particularly pleased with the French chef's work while all of them praise Morimoto's dishes. When the judgements are made, however, the Japanese judges ratings are nearly even between the two chefs, but both French judges rate the French chef at least 4 points higher than Morimoto! I have seen very little bias in the decisions from the Japanese panel in the show.</div>

I've yet to see any strong connection between what the judges say while tasting the food and what scores they actually give out.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>They really don't actually. Granted, at least some of the panel is usually not educated in the culinary arts, but they don't always (or even usually) just throw out mindless praise (even for the Iron Chefs)</div>
