Finally got around to seeing Kill Bill Vol. 1, pretty damn sweet movie. Just as violent as everybody said it was. My impression of it was that it was like a live-action anime movie.

I liked Kill Bill, but only as a sort of absurd comedy--I cannot for a moment take any of it seriously. Pulp Fiction, I think, has much more depth and coherence.</div>

Kill Bill is the type of movie I enjoy most when it is done properly (kung-fu/samurai/martial arts/etc.), and Kill Bill does it more properly than any other. I said I don't like to compare the two directly because I do love Pulp Fiction for many reasons and I don't want to belittle my enjoyment of it just because I happen to prefer Kill Bill.</div>
